Hit me!

Journal Entry: Wed Dec 9, 2009, 4:22 AM
In November I entered 3 contests, without many expectations. It was a keen competition in every contest, so I was not surprised that I did not win the first Contest with the Theme "long time exposure" but finished it place 25 or something.

the second and third contest, both from polskavic51 [link] have been much more my kind of genre. "Musicality" and "Picturesque Portraiture". I entered with 2 pictures each and I won both! :D

The winning pictures:

It really hit me in the face when I recognized it this morning. So thanks to everyone who voted for me, to the donators of the prizes and dont forget to check out the other artists who entered.

The first thing to do with my new subscription is to feature artists or pieces of art who are pretty unknown or deserve more attention than they got so far. Its Feature-Time!

Hi there folks!

I just returned from Budapest, which I can recommend to everyone who likes old citys, and old public transportation. I was lucky with the weather, and there are a few pictures I want to show you the next days, so hold the line! :D

And if you are bored of citys and landscape, I might help you with some shots from my first Studio-Session ever with Andreask0 [link] as the man who lend me his studio and showed me what its all about.

My next big journey will be New York City, but I am thinking of visiting Rome or Lanzarote for a few days inbetween. But first I have to sell some stuff to get some money... anyone who needs a kidney?? :D

This weekend I am imprisoning myself in a cottage with a fireplace and enjoy the bad weather outside :)

Hi there!

Yesterday I returned from Malta, which was my 7th trip to another country within a year. Seen much, experienced much, eaten much and, of course, taken many pictures, and visited 4 Hard Rock Cafe's (Munich, Amsterdam, Malta and the Shop in Prague) :D

I had to delay the photos from turkey, where I went in July but there will be soon a few sights.

While Turkey was a very classical holidaytrip with beach, sun and swimming (there was only a one-day-trip to Pamukkale), Malta was just like my previous Italy-trip. I want to see land, culture and people, and there's only one way to do it; go by car, bus, and most of the time "per pedes" (walk).

If you ever want to go to Malta i can highly recommend the busses. They cost only little, and there are routes from valetta to everywhere in the country. But the best thing of it: some of them are nearly 50 Years old, so its an experience you shouldn't miss at all!

First I wanted to go to Barcelona, but unfortunately Sky Europe became insolvent,
:steaming: so I had to cancel the trip and went with a last minute deal to Malta.

So my next plans for exploring the World will be:

Bratislava with ma mates whenever we manage to get a day off
Barcelona (with a secure flight) in October
New York City somewhen in April

:juggle:

Thanks for reading, and check out soon, there will be tons of pictures!

:woohoo:

Hi there!

You may have recognised that my most prefered subject in photography is working with models, especially fashion, portrait and artistic (not nude) pictures.

As a small boy I was always fascinated by portraits and fashion pictures. By the time I recognised that in most cases it is bound to hard work.

Last week I had a great photoshooting with Sarah, but we had some serious troubles too.
On the way to the location (which was a lake near vienna) they dig over half of the streets leading to the sea, and all bypass were leading to nowhere.

So with an hour delay we arrived at the parking area, and took the rest of the short path the lake. In only 5 minutes I managed to kill about 80 mosquitos, but the rest bite me.

With approximately 40 mosquito bites I arrived at the lake, luckily Sarah only had about ten, or something, but I can tell you that retouching 10 mosquito bites on every picture can be a little bit annoying! :stupidme:

So if you want to see the results, check ou [link]

I think it was worth it.

Mud, Beer and Music

Just like last year I've been at the Nova Rock, the biggest austrian music festival with "my mate" buddystyle.

Luckily I missed the second day, it was raining 24/7, but I'm very sorry that I couldn't watch my favorite Band "Killswitch Engage", and Chickenfoot might have been interresting too.

After regenerating from a sleepless weekend with huge amounts of beer, the pictures are "under progress".

So stop by, there might be interresting stuff from Sevendust, Caliban, Static X, Faith no More, Sunrise Avenue, Sonic Syndicate and the Guano Apes.

The future brings a load of pictures too. This week I'm out every single day, with architecture, Sports and Fashion-Photography.

Next Trips:
August > Greece or Turkey
September > Barcelona
